A (Not So) New Black on Black Crime

"Since 1973 -- the year of the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade -- 13 million African-American lives have been lost to abortion."

This article is courtesy of One News Now about abortion in the black community.  I will not go into detail on my feelings on abortion, but if there is an unwanted pregnancy, I would hope mothers would consider adoption.  There are many parents out there who are unable to have children who would be more than happy to raise a child otherwise unwanted.  The bible says in Psalm 127:3-5, "Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court."  This means that if you are able to have children, that God has favored you.  Children are a blessing from God.

It's bad enough that the black community has had an issue for many years with violence, killing ourselves in record numbers.  With the abortion numbers as they are, we are leading down a dangerous path of self destruction.  I like this particular song by Bizzle which encourages us (especially black community leaders and entertainers) to start being accountable to end the cycle of self destruction.
